Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do?

We are not a typical after-school program where we simply look after kids until parents come to pick them up! We exist to help our members grow and learn to become productive, caring, responsible members of our community. We offer programs and services based around academics, social recreation, healthy living and leadership.

Where are you located?

We have three locations in Monrovia. Our Clubhouse and Teen Center sites are located in Recreation Park on Shamrock Avenue. We also have a full after-school program at Mayflower Elementary School.

What time are you open?

During the school year, all three sites are open from the end of school hours until 6:30 pm. Our Mayflower location is also open before school at 6:30am. During the summer, furlough days and school breaks, our Shamrock and Teen Center sites are open from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm.

How much does membership cost?

Each site has a monthly program fee. See membership for more details.

Is financial aid available?

Yes! Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills strives to make our services affordable for every family. If you need financial assistance, please contact our membership coordinator for details.

What safety insurances do you have in place?

Safety is our primary concern at Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills and we strive to keep our kids safe in every way. Members are each given an ID card that they use to sign in and out electronically when they arrive at and leave from the Club. The ratio of children to staff at the each of our club sites is 20:1. See safety for more details.
