Welcome to the new Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills website!
What do you do?
We are not a typical after-school program that simply looks after kids until parents come to pick them up! BGCF exists to help our members grow and learn to become productive, caring, responsible members of our community. We offer programs and services based around academics, social recreation, healthy living and leadership.
Where are you located?
We have six locations in Monrovia — five school-based sites and a Teen Center located in Recreation Park. Our administrative office is located at 600 S. Shamrock Avenue in Monrovia.
What time are you open?
During the school year, all sites are open from the end of school until 6:00 pm. During the summer, furlough days and school breaks, our Shamrock and Teen Center sites are open all day.
How much does membership cost?
Monthly program fees vary. See our enrollment page for more details.
Is financial aid available?
Yes! Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills strives to make our services affordable for every family. If you need financial assistance, please contact our membership coordinator for details. No family is turned away for inability to pay.
What safety insurances do you have in place?
Safety is our primary concern at BGCF and we strive to keep our kids safe in every way. Members scan in and out electronically when they arrive and when they leave. The ratio of children to staff at each of our Club sites is 20:1 for grades 1-12 and 10:1 for grades TK and Kinder.
See safety for more details.
Is transportation available?
Yes! Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills provides transportation to our Teen Center from schools in the Monrovia, Duarte, and Arcadia districts. Please see our enrollment page for the full list of pick up locations.
Our elementary school sites are on school campuses, but transportation is available for field trips, sports team travel, and other off-campus enrichment activities.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! We are always looking for able and willing volunteers to help with tutoring, mentoring, special events, or other programs. Simply fill out a volunteer application online or email our Volunteer Coordinator for more information.
All staff and volunteers are required to submit to a background check before working with our members. We also have one-time volunteer opportunities, group activities for area businesses, and volunteer committees to plan and support our fundraising events.
Can I make a donation?
Yes, we would greatly appreciate it! Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization: Tax ID #95-4453545. All gifts to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Foothills are tax-deductible and directly support the kids we serve.
